1. A learning service for children, managed by parents
GajjuMath is designed for children learning mental maths. Parents or legal guardians manage account access and authorise their child's use. A hero alias avoids displaying a child's real name, but activity linked to that account is still learning information about the child. This policy explains how the business identified below handles it.
2. Information we handle
- Parent account: email address, login and verification records, account preferences and support correspondence. Optional parent or guardian phone numbers are stored when added for report delivery.
- Course enquiries: parent email, phone number, selected course, saved course price, learning goals and follow-up consent. Our team uses these details to respond to your request by email or phone. Enquiry contact details are not independently verified and do not create paid access.
- Learning and play: hero alias, avatar, answers, scores, attempts, hints, bookmarks, chapter order, completion, answer timing, active learning time, idle or away events, coins, farm and village progress.
- Scholarship and purchases: test questions and answers, deadlines, results, earned prices, purchase email, selected course, order and payment references, payment/refund status and access dates. A purchase can be recorded before email verification; access is linked after verification. Payment credentials such as card details, CVV and UPI PIN are handled by the payment provider, not stored in the GajjuMath course database.
- Website operation: session identifiers, campaign/referral source and funnel steps, plus browser, device and request information that may appear in service or security logs. The free marketing sample and a saved scholarship test are different: scholarship answers are stored so we can grade and review them.
3. Why we use it
At checkout we also collect a parent's WhatsApp number for the purchase confirmation. We retain message submission and delivery status to investigate missing confirmations and retry failures. Adding this checkout number does not automatically subscribe it to learning reports or marketing messages.
We use this information to sign you in, resume learning, grade answers, manage scholarships and payments, award coins, provide games, create parent reports, support families, protect the service and improve the course. Authorised staff can review learning progress and comparisons to identify useful next steps. These are educational summaries, not diagnoses or a public ranking of children.
During a learning session, the page can report whether it is visible and whether learning interactions occurred. It does not tell GajjuMath which other website, video, game or application was opened. We do not use the camera or microphone to monitor a child. An away or idle event is not proof of distraction.
4. Cookies and local storage
Essential cookies keep accounts signed in, secure requests and remember learning or checkout sessions. The student login can last up to 30 days unless it expires or is signed out. First-party session information also helps measure the marketing journey. You can remove cookies in browser settings; doing so may sign you out. Use Sign out on shared devices.
5. Service providers and sharing
We do not sell personal information. We share information needed to provide the service with hosting and technical service providers, BrandTurners as the platform provider, Razorpay for payment processing, SendGrid for account emails, and Gupshup/WhatsApp for enabled parent report messages and purchase notifications to the merchant’s configured order contacts (buyer email, course, amount and payment reference). These providers may process information on infrastructure in India or other countries, subject to applicable safeguards and their service terms. Razorpay's payment processing is also described in its privacy policy.
AI tools and text-to-speech services help us prepare course content and narration. A narrated lesson is not a recording of your child. We do not ask children to submit voice or camera recordings for these lessons. Information may also be disclosed where legally required or needed to protect users and the service.
6. Parent reports, invitations and shared villages
Purchase confirmation messages use Gupshup/WhatsApp and include the course, amount, order reference and purchase email. Merchant order alerts go to the site's configured order contacts. Payment emails are sent using SendGrid.
Report messages are sent to guardian numbers entered and authorised in Profile. Only add numbers whose owners have agreed to receive them. The message contains a learner alias, session information and private report links. Anyone with a report link may be able to view it until it expires or is revoked, so do not post it publicly. You can remove a recipient or disable reports in Profile; this also revokes that recipient's report access. Copies already received by a recipient cannot be recalled.
When a parent asks us to email an invitation, we store the invited parent’s email and sending status to deliver that invitation and avoid duplicates. We do not add that address to a marketing mailing list. A parent-approved referral link shares a hero alias, avatar, achievement and farm snapshot, not the parent's email or phone number. Shared village participants can see the shared game and contributions. Keep aliases free of real names and personal details. Treat invitation links as shareable access links and send them only to intended families.
7. Retention and security
Learning history and account records are retained to provide continuity while the account is in use. Payment, support and security records may need to be retained longer for accounting, disputes, fraud prevention or legal obligations. Retention depends on the record and purpose; course access expiry does not automatically delete the account. On a verified deletion request, we review what can be removed or anonymised and explain any records we must retain. Backup copies may remain until the backup cycle replaces them.
We use access controls, protected account sessions and restricted report links. No online system can guarantee absolute security. Protect your account and report links, and contact us if you suspect unauthorised access.
8. Choices, requests and grievances
A parent or guardian can contact us to request access to their family's information, correction, deletion, withdrawal of consent or help with a privacy concern. We may verify account ownership before acting. Withdrawing information needed to deliver the course may mean we cannot continue that service. Any refund request is handled under the refund policy. Report delivery can be disabled separately without withdrawing course access.
We acknowledge privacy requests within two business days and explain the next steps, subject to any shorter applicable legal deadline. If you believe an account was created for a child without guardian authorisation, contact us for review. Marketing interest is optional and separate from essential account or payment messages; contact us to withdraw it.
9. Changes
This page's date and version identify the policy in effect. We will explain material changes through the account or parent contact channel and seek additional permission where required. This notice does not reduce rights available under applicable data-protection law.
